Kashmir to host 6-day tulip festival from April 3

Kashmir is all set to host a 6-day tulip festival, from the 3rd of April in a bid to promote tourism and celebrate the arrival of spring. The festival will host a range of activities like cultural shows and musical evenings. It will have nearly 25 stalls that will display and promote the rich crafts and culture of the valley. Preparations are underway to light the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre and the Hari Parbat Fort. Another event, a houseboat festival is in the pipeline as well and is likely to be held in the month of May.
