Kannada actor-turned-politician Ambareesh passes away

Former Union minister and noted Kannada actor Ambareesh died after suffering a cardiac arrest. The 66-year-old was admitted to a hospital in Bengaluru on Saturday evening after he complained of breathlessness. A three-time Lok Sabha member and also a former state minister, he had not been keeping well in recent years. Ambareesh is survived by his wife, actress Sumalatha and son Abhishek.
