Earlier this week, Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa had announced that he would take 8 crew members along with him on a voyage to the moon on SpaceX's Starship.
In three days, Maezawa's dearMoon project has received over 3,00,000 applications from all across the world and the highest number are from India.
This was followed by US, Japan, France and the United Kingdom. The moon mission is slated to be held in 2023 and registrations for the contest are open until the 14th of March.
The week-long, first civilian lunar mission, which will be completely paid for by Maezawa, will have 10-12 people on board.
