Jaguar to temporarily shut plant, Tata under pressure

Tata Motors was under pressure in trade today on news Jaguar Land Rover will reduce the workforce at its plant in central England. In a statement, the company said, “The external environment remains challenging and the company is taking decisive actions to achieve the necessary operational efficiencies to safeguard long-term success” .About 500 of the factory’s 1,600-strong workforce could be affected through a two-week period.
