The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday said it has constituted a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the killing of advocate Babar Qadri who was shot dead by unidentified gunmen on Thursday in Srinagar. He succumbed to the injuries on the way to a hospital.
The police said that the killers came to the advocate's house posed as clients and shot at him when he came to meet them. He received four bullets in his head, the police added.
Kashmir IG said that there was a threat perception to Qadri's life but he had refused to move to a safe zone. His car was even attacked in 2018.
