The BCCI on Tuesday announced that last 2 league games of IPL 2021 will be played simultaneously on October 8. That means that SRH will take on the Mumbai Indians and RCB will face the Delhi Capitals at the same time at 7:30 PM IST.
It might be a welcome news for the players as it doesn’t allow teams any opportunity to know the set piece in advance. Earlier, one game was to be played in the afternoon and the second would have begun at 7:30 PM. It has never happened before in any IPL season.
The board also announced that the appointment of two new IPL teams will be announced on October 25.
