It will be a match that will be remembered more for individual performances rather RCB beating MI by a whopping 54 runs to stay at the 3rd spot on the IPL points table.

Batting first, RCB scored 165/6 courtesy a half century each by Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell. Chasing which, openers took Mumbai off to a decent start with a 57-run start. But post that, the batting collapsed. Harshal Patel continued his fine form and claimed 4 wickets which included a hat-trick. He is now the 3rd RCB player to claim 3 wickets on 3 consecutive deliveries. It meant that Mumbai were bowled out for mere 111, their lowest score vs RCB.

Kohli's men finally ended a 2-match losing run and remained on the 3rd spot. Mumbai on the other hand choked again and slipper down to the 7th position with 3rd consecutive defeat.
