Defending champions Mumbai Indians have become the first team to secure their play-offs berth this season after Chennai Super Kings defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 6 wickets on Thursday. Currently on top with 16 points in the IPL points table, the four-time champions hold a fair chance to secure a top-2 finish that will provide them 2 shots at reaching the final. Royal Challengers Banglore with 14 points stands at second position followed by Delhi Capitals with as many points.
