Instagram tests new horizontal scroll and users are not happy

If you opened up Instagram and found that your timeline orientation was different, you're not alone. Instagram added a huge new change to the way users scroll through their feed: you may have had to swipe sideways rather than scrolling up and down. The feature appears to mimic Instagram stories, where users tap through by going sideways. The new layout was rolled out without any warning and needless to say, many users are not pleased. Instagram now seems to have reverted users back to the vertical feed.
