A new global study by Google finds that Indians are prolific users of selfie filters. Indian women consider filter as useful tool in enhancing their appearance and presenting their best self.

The most commonly used apps for filter and beatification for Indians are PicsArt and Makeup Plus.

The study finds that selfie-taking and sharing is such a big part of Indian women's lives that it "affects their behaviour and household economics".
