According to a report by market research firm TechARC, Indian shipments for true wireless (TWS) earbuds hit the 8.4 million mark in 2020, worth ₹2,432 crore. The firm mentioned that the growing prevalence of work-from-home caused Indians to buy more TWS earbuds, leading to the market far exceeding their expectations of 4-4.5 million shipments for 2020. Xioami leads the shipment charts with 14.7% market share, with Boat in second at 13.9%, and Realme in third at 13.6%. In terms of revenue, however, Apple leads the market with a 35% market share, with OnePlus and Xiaomi taking the second and third spots.
