England cricketers found themselves in the middle of a ball-tampering storm on Day 4 of the Lord's Test vs India when a couple of their players were seen stepping on the ball. Many including former India cricketer Virender Sehwag were quick to notice it and a few alleged that the hosts tried to change t he condition of the ball with their spikes.

However, Indian batting coach Vikram Rathour on Sunday downplayed the allegations, saying that it didn't look deliberate. It was accidental and we did not think anything about it, Rathore added during the post day press conference.

The Indian team hasn't lodged an official complaint with match referee Chris Broad.
