Food-delivery platform Zomato said that it pulled out of around 225 smaller cities in January, keeping in view the company's performance in recent quarters.

An official was quoted as saying that the performance in the 225 cities was not very encouraging and it only contributed to about 0.3% of company's gross order value (GOV).

Notably, Zomato's consolidated revenue grew 75% to ₹1948 crore but for the October - December quarter, however, its loss also jumped five times to ₹346 crore, as per an Economic Times report.
