Women's reservation bill gets President Murmu's nod

Women's Reservation Bill which was cleared by both houses of the Parliament during a special session this month has got President Murmu's assent on September 29.  

The government of India issued a gazette notification for the Women's Reservation Bill, officially known as Nari Shakti Vandhan Adhiniyam on September 29 after it received the assent of President Droupadi Murmu.

 

 

The Act proposes 33 percent reservation for women in Lok Sabha and assemblies.
