Woman Drives Car on Railway Track, Halts Trains Temporarily

Hyderabad, Jun 26 (PTI) — In an unusual incident on the outskirts of Hyderabad, a woman drove her car along a railway track on Thursday morning, leading to a temporary halt in train services, according to police reports.

The woman navigated her vehicle along the Shankarpally track for a stretch of approximately eight kilometres.

According to authorities, she appeared to be experiencing mental distress and attempted to confront the officers upon halting her vehicle.

Despite the confrontation, the police were able to subdue her and subsequently took her for a medical examination.

It's reported that the woman was previously employed at a software company.

A case is expected to be registered by the railway police.

Initial information from railway sources indicates that two goods trains and two passenger trains faced disruptions for around 20 minutes due to the incident.
