Kolkata, June 3 (PTI) West Bengal has recorded 41 new cases of COVID-19, along with the death of a patient who was receiving treatment at a private hospital in Kolkata, according to a state health department official on Tuesday. A 43-year-old woman from Howrah, who had comorbid conditions including nephrological issues and acute coronary syndrome, passed away in the isolation ward of the hospital late on Monday night, the official reported. Meanwhile, eleven more individuals have recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s statement on Tuesday. The total number of active COVID-19 cases in West Bengal has increased to 372, the statement added.
