UP police team is bringing back gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed from Gujarat’s Sabarmati jail to Prayagraj via road in a police van.
A team of UP police reached Sabarmati jail in Gujarat on Sunday to take Ahmed to Prayagraj, where his sentencing in the Umesh Pal kidnapping case is due on March 28.
Police sources said the road journey will take at least 36 hours.
