The engine and the first few coaches of Satyagraha Express detached from the rest of the train while it was running near Majhaulia station in Bihar on Thursday.
The train was bound for Anand Vihar station and the incident caused a panic-like situation among passengers.
As per a report by India Today, the train coaches got separated as soon as the loco left Majhaulia station.
A major accident was averted due to the low speed of the train, a railway official was quoted as saying.
