A Pune-based firm has made sunglasses out of discarded chips packets.

Calling it a pioneering move, Ashaya founder Anish Malpani claimed that sunglasses are the first in the world to have been made of chips packets with the use of all kinds of “impossible-to-recycle” multi-layered plastic packaging (MLP) including chocolate wrappers, milk packets.

As per the company website, it took them two years of research to make these recycled plastic sunglasses.

The website also claimed that globally 0% of multi-layered plastic packaging is recycled, which is what makes them the first in the world to have achieved this breakthrough.
