Watch: classical ragas by military bands at Beating The Retreat ceremony

Amid rain lashing national capital, military bands enthralled audience at ‘Beating the Retreat’ ceremony.

29 tunes based on Indian classical music were the flavour of the ceremony which marked the formal end of Republic Day celebrations.

The ceremony began with ‘Agniveer’ tune, followed by captivating tunes like ‘Almora’, ‘Kedar Nath, ‘Sangam Dur’, ‘Queen of Satpura’, ‘Bhagirathi’, ‘Konkan Sundari’ by pipes and drums band.

Music bands of the Army, the Navy, the Air Force and the State Police and Central Armed Police Force also demonstrated their talent.

The ceremony was graced by President Droupadi Murmu, PM Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh
