A video has sparked outrage on social media in which a man can be seen yelling and biting a traffic police personnel in Bengaluru. Sayyad Safi was caught driving a scooter without a helmet near Wilson Garden 10th Cross. The traffic police in the area stopped him for violating the rules. 

When a traffic constable took away his scooter keys, the 28-year-old man bit the traffic constable's finger to retrieve the keys. He also heard saying in the video that he forgot to wear the helmet as he was heading to a hospital and that he doesn't care if his video goes viral.

Safi then grabbed the phone of the head constable and asked him why his video was being recorded, and attempted to flee. He was immediately caught and arrested.

Police said, "The suspect is believed to have abused the traffic constable at Wilson Garden 10th Cross, bit his finger, and hurt him."

A case has been registered against the man for physically hurting and abusing police personnel on duty.
