New Delhi, Oct 9 (PTI) - Public sector enterprise WAPCOS, which functions under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, has recalled its officials from foreign assignments amid an "organisational restructuring," according to sources on Thursday. The move follows shortly after IAS officer Shilpa Sachin Shinde assumed her role as the new head of Water and Power Consultancy Services (WAPCOS) Limited. WAPCOS is known for providing consultancy in water resources, power, and infrastructure sectors. A source disclosed to PTI that the recall of officials stationed overseas is a part of the restructuring efforts under the new CMD. Officials have been summoned back from multiple countries, including Bhutan, Nepal, Fiji, and Cambodia, confirmed another source. WAPCOS, a Miniratna company, has executed numerous projects on the international front, with a significant presence in South and Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Pacific Islands.
