A 26-year-old waiter was allegedly beaten to death after a ‘jootha’ or used tray touched some guests at a wedding in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad.

According to police, the victim, identified as Pankaj, was carrying some used plates which touched a few people.

This led to an argument and the angry guests assaulted Pankaj. Fearing that the waiter was dead, the guests dumped his body into the bushes.

“During the investigation, the deceased’s mother said her son had left home to work at a wedding but never returned; those present at Guest House CGS Vatika Pusta Road were questioned and evidence was collected,” police said as per The Indian Express.

Three suspects have been taken into custody and further investigation is on.
