Guruvayur, Kerala: Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar visited the renowned Lord Krishna temple on Monday, despite initial travel disruptions due to adverse weather conditions.

His helicopter departed from Kochi in the morning but had to return because heavy rain prevented it from landing in Guruvayur, according to officials.

Following his attendance at a scheduled event in Kochi, Dhankhar managed to arrive in Guruvayur. He was warmly received at the Sreekrishna College helipad by local dignitaries, including MLA Murali Perunelli, District Collector Arjun Pandyan, City Police Commissioner R Ilango, and Kandanassery panchayat president Mini Jayan, alongside his wife Dr. Sudesh Dhankhar.

The Vice-President arrived at the temple at 1:35 pm, offered prayers, and departed at 1:48 pm, as per officials.

At 2:30 pm, he proceeded to leave Guruvayur for Kochi.
