Nainital, Jun 25 (PTI) Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar experienced a momentary fainting spell on Wednesday during the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Kumaon University. After delivering his speech and stepping down from the dais, Dhankhar approached Mahendra Singh Pal, a former parliamentary colleague, seated in the audience. Pal, now a High Court advocate in Uttarakhand, was a Lok Sabha MP in 1989 alongside Dhankhar, who represented Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan. The two appeared quite emotional upon their reunion. They conversed briefly before Dhankhar, visibly moved, embraced Pal and subsequently fainted in his arms. The alert medical team accompanying the Vice President quickly intervened to bring him back to consciousness. Thankfully, Dhankhar regained his composure soon after and continued on to the Raj Bhawan, where he was scheduled to stay overnight.
This visit marks the beginning of Dhankhar's three-day itinerary in Nainital.
