Uttarakhand suspends licences of 14 Patanjali products

The Uttarakhand government has suspended the licenses of 14 Patanjali products. 

According to a report by the Hindustan Times, a criminal complaint has also been filed against Baba Ramdev, Acharya Balkrishna and Patanjali Aurved for violating the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act.

Manufacturing licenses have been suspended for Swasari Gold, Swasari Vati, Bronchom, Swasari Pravahi, Swasari Avaleh, Mukta Vati Extra Power, Lipidom, Bp Grit, Madhugrit, Madhunashini Vati Extra Power, Livamrit Advance, Livogrit, Eyegrit Gold and Drishti Eye Drop.

The action comes after the Supreme Court pulled up the Uttarakhand government and the regulator for failing to act against Patanjali’s misleading advertisements on health cures.
