Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Ayodhya on a one-day visit on Wednesday.
He began his tour with worship at the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Garhi, where he performed formal rituals and prayed for the peace and well-being of the people of the state.
After the Hanuman Garhi visit, the Chief Minister proceeded to the sanctum of Shri Ram Lalla. At the temple, he performed the aarti and offered prayers at the Ram Darbar.
He also circumambulated the temple complex and reviewed the progress of the Ram Mandir construction. Officials of the Ram Mandir Trust briefed him on the current status of construction work and on upcoming plans.
While leaving the temple premises after performing the rituals, the Chief Minister accepted the salutations and greetings of members of the public who had gathered there.
Earlier, on arrival at Maharshi Valmiki Airport in Ayodhya, Yogi Adityanath received a grand welcome from local representatives and officials. This was the Chief Minister’s first visit to Ayodhya in September; he had last come to the city on July 9 to inaugurate the mega plantation campaign.
