In a bid to boost Uttar Pradesh’s presence on the global trade map, the Government of Uttar Pradesh, in partnership with India Exposition Mart Ltd. (IEML), held a major roadshow in New Delhi on Friday to promote the upcoming third edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025.

The event followed a curtain raiser held in Lucknow on June 27, inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The Delhi roadshow marked a key milestone in the lead-up to UPITS 2025, scheduled to take place from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida.

Held under the theme “Ultimate Sourcing Begins Here,” the trade show aims to promote exports across crucial sectors including MSMEs, IT, electronics, handloom and textiles, ODOP, Khadi and Village Industries, sericulture, food processing, automobiles, EVs, renewable energy, and traditional crafts.

The event was presided over by Shri Rakesh Sachan, Uttar Pradesh’s Cabinet Minister for MSME, Khadi and Village Industries, Sericulture, Handloom & Textile, alongside Principal Secretary (MSME & Export Promotion) Shri Alok Kumar, IEML Chairman Dr. Rakesh Kumar, FIEO Director General Dr. Ajay Sahai, EPCH Chairman Dr. Neeraj Khanna, and OSD, YEIDA, Shri Shailendra Bhatia. It drew participation from key trade associations, buying consultants, sector leaders, and representatives from embassies including Austria, Canada, Vietnam, Norway, and Singapore.

Shri Rakesh Sachan said the event reflects Uttar Pradesh’s emergence as a vibrant hub of development and enterprise.
“Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a promising hub of opportunity, driven by a strong focus on development, entrepreneurship, and global engagement. The upcoming third edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS 2025), to be held from 25 to 29 September 2025 at India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida, is a reflection of this momentum. This show is not just about exhibiting products, it is about showcasing the strength of Uttar Pradesh’s industries, artisans, MSMEs, and entrepreneurs on a global stage,” he said.

Highlighting improvements in infrastructure and law & order, Sachan added, “From handlooms and ODOP products to electronics, food processing, renewable energy, and more, UPITS presents a powerful blend of heritage and modern enterprise, all under one roof.”

With exports expanding from all 75 districts of the state, UPITS is expected to serve as a gateway to connect local manufacturers and artisans with global markets. “The Government of Uttar Pradesh, under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji, is creating a supportive environment through better law and order, equal opportunities, and industry-friendly policies. UPITS 2025 is not just a trade event; it is a vision to connect Uttar Pradesh’s potential with the world,” the minister added.

Principal Secretary Shri Alok Kumar echoed this sentiment, saying, “Uttar Pradesh seems like a giant waking up and rapidly growing and now it has UP International Trade Show to showcase its industrial and cultural strengths. It’s an export gateway for our MSMEs, artisans, and entrepreneurs. With each edition, UPITS is building bridges from local businesses to global markets, strengthening our resolve to contribute to the vision of a trillion-dollar economy.”

Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of IEML and co-organiser of UPITS, emphasized the platform's value for global sourcing. “The UPITS is a perfect sourcing platform for all the products and services from Uttar Pradesh at one place,” he said, noting the wide range of sectors and products that will be featured.

Dr. Ajay Sahai, Director General & CEO of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), highlighted the support extended to overseas buyers and the efforts to bring them to the show. “FIEO is uniting buyers to explore the entire state's manufacturing and creative prowess under one roof, making it an unparalleled sourcing destination for both domestic and international buyers across all the products and services sectors,” he said.

The roadshow also offered a preview of the expanded features planned for UPITS 2025 — including targeted B2B meetings, buyer delegations, sectoral showcases such as ODOP, and dedicated export promotion zones. It forms part of a nationwide promotional campaign, with similar roadshows set to be held in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad.

The previous two editions of UPITS attracted lakhs of visitors and buyers, generating thousands of crores in business inquiries. Organizers are optimistic that UPITS 2025 will exceed past benchmarks, further positioning Uttar Pradesh as a key player in India’s trade and export ecosystem.
