Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday announced that the state had received investment proposals exceeding ₹15 lakh crore, which he said would open up new avenues for the people, particularly the youth.
Speaking at the inauguration of the 'Kaushal Vikas Mela', the Chief Minister attributed the wave of investments to Uttar Pradesh’s significantly improved law and order environment over the past eight years.
"You must have felt in the last 8 years that when law and order are good, and the government's intentions are right, you see a flood of investments in no time. Investment proposals worth more than Rs 15 lakh crore have come into Uttar Pradesh, and these investment proposals will provide new opportunities for the youth in the state..." CM Yogi said during the event.
He also underlined the role of the ‘double-engine’ government — referring to the combined efforts of the Centre and state — in empowering the youth through focused skill development initiatives.
"Under the double engine government, we have been able to help sharpen the skills of the youth... we have worked in accordance with the demands of the industry and the market...there is neither any shortage of work or human resources in the state..." he added.
CM Yogi emphasized that aligning youth training with market and industrial needs had been a key part of the administration's strategy. The 'Kaushal Vikas Mela' is part of a broader effort to connect skill training with employment and entrepreneurship opportunities across Uttar Pradesh.
