Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep grief over two separate tragic incidents reported from Sitapur and Gonda districts and has directed officials to provide immediate assistance and medical care to the victims.
In Sitapur, a wall collapse claimed the lives of several young girls, prompting the Chief Minister to extend his condolences to the bereaved families. According to a press release from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO), CM Yogi directed district administration officials to ensure that the injured are promptly taken to the hospital and provided with the best possible treatment. He also wished the injured a speedy recovery and instructed officials to reach the accident site at the earliest to expedite rescue operations.
The Chief Minister had also taken cognisance of a tragic road accident in Gonda earlier on Sunday, where a vehicle carrying pilgrims fell into a canal, resulting in the death of at least eleven people. The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of the Itia Thok Police Station.
According to an official statement, “Eleven people died after their vehicle fell into a canal under Itia Thok Police Station limits in Gonda. The vehicle had 15 passengers onboard, and they were going to Prithvinath Temple to offer prayers.”
CM Yogi Adityanath expressed condolences to the families of the victims and directed officials to reach the site without delay and speed up relief efforts. He also instructed that proper medical treatment be provided to those injured in the mishap.
The Chief Minister’s swift response underscores the state government’s commitment to ensuring timely relief and medical support in times of crisis.
