New Delhi, Jul 17 (PTI) – The US Embassy in New Delhi issued a stern warning on Monday, stating that the United States will not tolerate those facilitating illegal and mass immigration into the country.

The embassy's statement, shared on its X handle, outlined new visa restrictions targeting foreign government officials and others involved in such activities.

This announcement comes in the wake of a recent immigration crackdown initiated by the Trump administration in Los Angeles, California.

"We will not tolerate those who facilitate illegal and mass immigration to the United States," the statement emphasized.

Further, the US has implemented new visa restrictions targeting foreign government officials and has designated several criminal cartels involved in illegal immigration and alien smuggling as Foreign Terrorist Organizations.

Additionally, countries that refuse to assist in repatriating their nationals from the United States could face serious repercussions, such as broad restrictions on entry to the US for their citizens.

On June 10, the US Embassy had already indicated that while it continues to welcome legitimate travelers, it will not tolerate illegal entry, visa abuse, or violations of US law.
