New Delhi, Jul 16 (PTI) – On Monday, the United States' embassy in New Delhi announced that the country "will not tolerate" those who aid illegal and mass migration to its borders. The US has introduced "new visa restrictions" targeting certain foreign government officials and individuals linked to such activities.

The statement was posted on the embassy's official X account and aligns with the recent immigration enforcement efforts by the Trump administration in Los Angeles, California.

"We will not tolerate those who facilitate illegal and mass immigration to the United States," the statement asserted. The embassy highlighted that the US government has identified as Foreign Terrorist Organizations certain criminal cartels that assist in illegal immigration and human smuggling.

Moreover, the statement warned that countries failing to assist in the return of their nationals might face serious repercussions, such as widespread entry restrictions into the US for their citizens.

Earlier, on June 10, the US Embassy had released a statement emphasizing the country's openness to legitimate travelers while making it clear that it "cannot and will not tolerate" unauthorized entry, visa abuse, or violations of US laws.
