The United States has condemned the attack on the Indian Consulate in San Francisco saying it pledges to defend the safety and security of diplomatic facilities as well as the diplomats who work within them.
'The United States condemns the attack against the Indian Consulate and any attack against diplomatic facilities within the United States. We pledge to defend the safety and security of these facilities as well as the diplomats who work within them,' the US State Department said in a statement.
The Indian consulate in San Francisco was vandalised by Khalistanis on March 19. According to reports, they had enterted the premises and raised the Khalistan flag which was soon taken down by the securiry guard. The group in reply resorted to vandalism.
