Bhadohi (UP), May 27 (PTI) - In a swift response to a viral video scandal, two sub-inspectors have been suspended from duty at Kotwali Police Station after being caught on camera allegedly accepting bribes. An officer reported this development on Tuesday.

Superintendent of Police Abhimanyu Manglik confirmed that an inquiry into the incident has been swiftly launched under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Shubham Agarwal.

The implicated officers, Sub-Inspectors Dilshad Khan and Subhash Bauddh, were allegedly filmed receiving money related to a land dispute.

According to Manglik, the bribery event took place roughly two weeks ago, with the incriminating video surfacing on social media on Monday.

The two sub-inspectors had been recently posted at the Kotwali Police Station, having commenced their new assignments just 15 days prior.
