Two Indian students have drowned while hiking with their four other freinds at a popular tourist spot in Scotland on April 17.

The bodies of both the men, identified as Jitendranath Karuturi, 26, and Chanhakya Bolisetti, 22, were recovered by rescue team near the Linn of Tumme.
The men were reportedly pursuing Master's degrees at Dundee University.

"On Wednesday night, Jitendranath Karuturi, 26, and Chanhakya Bolisetti, 22, were washed away at Linn of Tummel, which is located north of Pitlochry. There don't seem to be any strange circumstances surrounding the fatalities," police said.

"The families of both students have been contacted by the Indian Consulate General, and a consular representative has met a student who resides in the UK. Dundee University has promised to help in every way," an Indian High Commission in London said.

The post-mortem of the bodies will be done on April 19 and the process of returning the bodies back home will be done after that.
