Ballia (UP), Nov 12: In a tragic incident, two young men lost their lives and three others were injured when a speeding car veered off control and collided with a roadside tree in Ballia, as reported by the police on Wednesday.

The unfortunate accident occurred around 10 pm on Tuesday near Diwakarpur village along the Parvatpur-Gherai road. The vehicle, carrying five young men, crashed into a tree, according to police statements.

Station House Officer (SHO) Praveen Kumar Singh identified the deceased as Vishal Kumar, 21, and Satyam, 22.

Two of the injured are in critical condition and have been transported to a Varanasi hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that all five individuals in the vehicle were allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

The bodies of the deceased have been sent for postmortem examination, and a detailed investigation is currently underway.
