Tragic Accident Near Dirgheshwar Nath Temple Claims One Life

Deoria (Uttar Pradesh), August 27 (PTI) – A tragic road accident claimed the life of a man when his motorcycle had a collision with a tractor-trolley, police reported on Wednesday.

The incident left two of his friends injured, and it took place near the Dirgheshwar Nath Temple in Majhauliraj on Tuesday evening, officials stated.

The deceased, Monu alias Abhimanyu Gond, aged 30, hailed from Kasila village in Bihar's Siwan district. He was accompanied by his friends, Golu Yadav, aged 37, and Vidyarthi Pal, aged 25.

The group was traveling on two motorcycles from Dirgheshwar Nath Temple heading toward the Sohagbara Shiva Temple when tragedy struck. A collision with a tractor-trolley occurred on the Majhauliraj-Bhatpar Rani road near Rauni Ganga Chak village.

After the accident, all three individuals were rushed to a nearby hospital. Monu, however, succumbed to his injuries. Golu and Vidyarthi are receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained, according to the police.

Salempur Station House Officer, Sunil Kumar Patel, stated that no formal complaint has been lodged regarding the incident thus far. Appropriate actions are pending the receipt of a formal complaint.
