Thane: Unidentified individuals allegedly made off with aluminium plates worth Rs 39.55 lakh from a construction yard in Maharashtra's Thane district, according to police reports released on Thursday. The theft occurred in the early hours of April 6 at an open construction yard situated in the Upper Thane area of Bhiwandi, an official from the Narpoli police station noted. Despite the incident occurring several months ago, the complaint was filed only recently, with no explanation provided for this delay by the general manager of the construction company. Following the complaint, authorities registered a case on September 1 under Section 303(2) related to theft under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
