Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jul 4 (PTI) – In a significant move to uphold discipline and sanctity, the managing trust of the esteemed Tulja Bhawani Temple, located in Tuljapur of Dharashiv, has taken strict action against eight priests involved in consuming tobacco and spitting within the temple premises, as confirmed by a temple official on Friday.

The priests were issued notices requiring them to explain their actions. "Six of the priests responded to the notices and expressed their apologies. Consequently, they have been forbidden from entering the temple for a duration of one month," the official elaborated. The remaining two priests, who did not respond to the notices, have been subjected to a more severe penalty, barring them from the temple for a period of three months.
