Hyderabad, June 2 (PTI): On the occasion of Telangana's state formation day, the National Flag was unfurled by Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma at the Raj Bhavan. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy also raised the National Flag during the state's official formation day celebrations at the Parade Grounds.
During his address at Raj Bhavan, the Governor extended his wishes to the people of Telangana and those residing globally. He applauded the state's advancements across various sectors and urged a united effort to create 'Ek Bharat, Shresht Bharat' where all regions prosper together.
Telangana's growth is exemplified by transformative infrastructure ventures like metro rail expansion, Elevated Expressways, and the Regional Ring Road, which enhance connectivity and quality of life. "With major investments in IT, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, and key initiatives like the Future City and a 200-acre AI City, Telangana aims to be at the forefront of innovation," stated Governor Varma.
The formation day was celebrated broadly in various institutional venues, including the High Court and offices of major parties such as the Congress, BJP, BRS, and Telangana Jagruti. Telangana was formed on June 2, 2014, following extensive efforts for statehood, which led to the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
