Hyderabad, July 30 (PTI): Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has emphasized the need for stringent measures to curb GST evasion by those liable to pay the tax.

In a meeting conducted on Tuesday night with the officials from the Commercial Taxes department, Reddy highlighted the importance of ensuring GST compliance across all firms.

He proposed the establishment of a call centre aimed at addressing the queries of GST payers, with plans to incorporate Artificial Intelligence technology into its operations, according to an official release issued late on Tuesday.

The Chief Minister also instructed the officials to examine and adopt the best practices related to GST and other tax matters from different states.

Furthermore, Reddy urged the officials to enhance the quality of services provided to taxpayers at the respective offices, the release stated.
