After reports of raids, Adani Wilmar clarifies, says it was a 'routine inspection'

After reports of raids at Adani Wilmar's warehouse in Himachal, the company has issued a clarification, saying that it was not a raid, but a routine inspection and that there were no irregularities found. 

A spokesperson of Adani Wilmar said that "The officials did not find any irregularities in the operations and dealings conducted by the company. We would like to clarify that the concerns specific to GST payments in cash, citing GST law under Rule 86B, the company is not required to pay a tax liability in cash,"

As per reports, the Himachal Pradesh state tax department conducted raids on Adani Wilmar on the 8th of February. Reports also said that the raids were carried out over irregularities with respect to GST payments.
