Targeted killings in valley to gain visibility: Army chief Gen Manoj Pande

Army chief General Manoj Pande attended the event organized to celebrate the Indian
Army Day 2023 at Govindaswamy parade ground in Bengaluru. 

Speaking at the event, Army chief said ceasefire continues at LOC in western border areas & ceasefire violations have been brought down. However, terror infrastructure across the border still remains. 

Gen Pande further said though there has been a decline in violence in the valley several proxy terrorist outfits have resorted to the technique of targetted killings to gain visibility. Army, along with other security forces, is determined to foil all such attempts, he added.
