NCP (SP) leader Supriya Sule on Thursday voiced her concern regarding the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan by an intruder at his Mumbai residence. Terming the incident “worrisome,” Sule confirmed that the actor was hospitalized but assured the public that he was safe.

The attack occurred around 2:30 am at Khan's home in Bandra, where the intruder reportedly injured the actor with a knife. Saif Ali Khan was subsequently hospitalized and required medical attention.

Sule, a close friend of Saif's wife Kareena Kapoor Khan's family, spoke with Karisma Kapoor, Saif’s sister-in-law, over the phone while addressing the media in Baramati, Pune. However, Sule refrained from disclosing the details of their conversation. She shared that Saif was in the hospital, while Kareena had returned home, and enquired about how the intruder managed to enter the house.

"The actor is safe and in hospital. We should wait for the official statement from the family and the police," Sule told reporters.

Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s team issued a statement confirming that an attempted burglary had occurred at the couple's residence. “Saif sustained an injury to his arm and is currently undergoing a procedure in the hospital. The rest of the family is doing well," the statement read.

The team further requested media and fans to refrain from speculating, as the police were already conducting investigations into the matter.

The incident has left fans and the media eagerly awaiting further updates from Saif Ali Khan's family and authorities.
