Bank officials in Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow broke the windows of the Canara bank branch after they noticed a fire in the premises.

There were 40 employees when the fire erupted in Hazratgang and videos showed bankers escaping the building through a window.

A banker told a news agency that he saw the air conditioner catch on fire

Stating that an electrical short circuit may have caused the fire on the 1st floor, an official said all employees in the building were rescued safely as fire brigades quickly arrived at the spot.
