Three persons were shot dead in a clash between two groups over milk dues in Bihar's Patna on Thursday night.
According to police, the clash erupted after one group went to the house of another and demanded ₹400 for the milk they had purchased.
This led to a quarrel between them and suddenly firing started, said Patna SSP Rajiv Mishra.
The incident happened in Surga village, said Senior Superintendent of Police Rajeev Mishra. "It started over a trivial matter but turned bloody. Shots were fired from both sides, resulting in the deaths of three persons. One person was injured and is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Patna," he said.
The injured person has been admitted at the Nalanda Medical College and Hospital and his condition is said to be critical.
Twelve people were detained in connection with the case.
