A merchant ship came under a drone attack off Yemen coast on the night of January 17.
Officials said that MV Genco Picardy was attacked 60 nautical miles South of Port Aden.
They added that there were nine Indians among the 22 crew members on board the vessel.
Indian Navy deployed Guided Missile Destroyer INS Visakhapatnam after it received a distress call. No casualties were reported and a fire that had erupted was brought under control.
