New Delhi, Jul 1 (PTI) The Sheesh Mahal Park in Shalimar Bagh, located in the national capital, has been restored and was officially unveiled on Wednesday by Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, and Lt Governor VK Saxena. The project was undertaken by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and saw collaboration with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). During the unveiling ceremony, Shekhawat criticized the previous AAP government. He remarked, "When this restoration project was initially taken up by LG Saxena, there was an undesirable government in Delhi. Now, with a dual-powered government in the capital led by CM Gupta, Delhi is set to transform into 'New Delhi' very soon." Chief Minister Gupta, following a visit to the site last month, had instructed further beautification and landscaping of the park.
