Security measures have been beefed up in Ahmedabad, where the Narendra Modi stadium is set to host World Cup cricket matches.

This after the Mumbai Police on Thursday received an email in which the sender threatened to blow up the Prime Minister and the Ahmedabad cricket stadium if the government did not pay Rs 500 crore and release notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

The source of the email is under investigation.

Lawrence Bishnoi has been in jail since 2014, facing various charges, including the murder of singer Sidhu Moosewala.
