Former J&K governor Satya Pal Malik posted a photo of him sitting at a Delhi police station alleging that he was detained, and a khap panchayat organised in his support in Delhi was cancelled after local police denied permission for the meeting, The Indian Express reported.

The police however rejected the allegation made by Malik saying that the former governor came to the police station on his own and was free to leave.

The CBI on Friday summoned the former governor in connection with an alleged insurance scam in Jammu and Kashmir
